Job Opportunity: Social Media & Community Lead

Are you passionate about independent music, technology and building communities?  Crates, the next-gen music app transforming how people discover and enjoy their music, is on the lookout for a Social Media & Community Lead to join our team. If you’re creative, energetic, and ready to lead the charge in growing Crates’ presence and community, we’d love to hear from you!


What You’ll Do:

  • Build and lead the Crates community through social media and beyond, creating an authentic, engaging and fun experience for music enthusiasts.
  • Create and curate compelling content, including short videos, reels, behind-the-scenes clips, and more, that resonate with our audience and reflect Crates’ vibe.
  • Engage directly with customers and fans, responding to feedback, answering questions, and sparking conversations that help us understand what users care the most 
  • Conduct polls, interviews, and street interactions, capturing real stories and reactions with a microphone and camera to provide interesting content for our community.
  • Act as the voice of the users within Crates, gathering feedback, insights, and suggestions from our users to help the team better understand what features to build next.
  • Collaborate with the Crates team to ensure all content and engagement aligns with our brand, values, and aesthetics.
  • Stay ahead of trends in music, culture, and social media, implementing fresh, innovative or quirky ideas to keep Crates at the forefront.
  • Drive organic growth by fostering strong relationships with users, influencers, and ambassadors.

Who You Are:

  • A fun, energetic person with great taste in music and a passion for culture and community building.
  • Experienced in managing and growing social media accounts, with a proven ability to connect with and engage an audience.
  • Skilled in content creation, including video production and basic editing (bonus points for advanced skills!).
  • Tech-savvy enough to understand the Crates app and its features (the more tech-savvy, the better!).
  • A people person who thrives on interacting with users, listening to their needs, and sharing actionable feedback with the team.
  • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills and a creative approach to storytelling.
